This piece is based on a photograph that was taken in Wuhan, China. I created it in Kuala Lumpur Airport while waiting for a flight back to the UK. It was impossible to not think about Coronavirus as we debated for weeks to fly home or not and cut our travels short. It was a very intense 14 hour wait in the airport. We watched as almost all departing flights were cancelled. Countries closing borders before our very eyes. The airport had a strange atmosphere which I’d like to never experience again. It practically shut behind us as we boarded our flight home.
